On 19 April 2026, the ‘PatriMont-France’ breeding association was founded in the museum mountain village of Prapic – at the entrance to the ‘Les Ecrins’ National Park in the Hautes-Alpes department. It has already begun work on re-establishing the breeding of black Alpine pigs in the French Alps (the photograph was taken at a pre-founding meeting).
